The Turn of the Screw

A young English woman comes to Bly to act as governess for Flora and Miles, two children who have been orphaned and under the tutelage of their uncle, the owner of the mansion. Shortly after his arrival he discovers that the children are visited periodically by a man and a woman ... who had died a year ago. Thanks to Mrs. Grose, housekeeper of the mansion, the identity of the two mysterious entities is revealed to the governess: Peter Quint, henchman and valet of the children's uncle; and Miss Jessel, the former preceptor of the little ones. Defending Flora and Miles from both entities becomes the young governess's obsession, so she does her best to get between them in the suspicion that Quint and Jessel's intentions for the children are evil.
