The Picture of Dorian Gray
Oscar Wilde
? Dorian Gray (Hurd Hatfield), handsome, young, but morally corrupt, took a portrait. Over the years, he has not aged, but his guilt can be clearly seen in his portrait, and every time he commits a crime, he becomes increasingly ugly. He hides it safely in the attic. But his mysterious demeanor and his eternal appearance began to arouse people's suspicions.
? The portrait of the young and innocent Dorian Gray (Hurd Hatfield) was painted by a close friend. Shortly afterwards, under the influence of the immoral Lord Henry Wharton (George Sanders), he delivered his fiancée, causing her to commit suicide. This was the beginning of more and more debauchery, and Gray realized that such external signs were only visible in portraits. In the end, the images hidden in the playroom during his childhood became incredible. But Gray still has a pure love: Gladys Hallward (Donna Reed), the niece of the original painter.
