Lord Arthur Savile's Crime and Other Stories

This story was first published in the "Court and Society Review" in late 1887. Mrs. Windermere introduced her to the protagonist Lord Arthur Savile, the palmist Mr. Septimus R. Podgers, who reads her palm and tells her that it is his destiny to become a murderer. Lord Arthur wanted to marry, but decided that he had no right to marry before the murder.
