In standard silica fiber which is commonly used for PCF, light does not propagates beyond wavelength range 2 micrometer but in proposed design of chalcogenide glass PCF the light propagates in wavelength region 2 to 11 micrometer and thus in this wavelength they have important for defense and bio-medical applications. Scalar effective index method (SEIM) and transparent boundary condition (TBC) are used for dispersion calculation.
