This acting poses threats to Turkey's internal stability, border-security and the ascension to the EU. In addition, the recent political events in Iraq have a sginificant impact for the relations between Turkey and Iraq. This policy paper analyzes the diversification of the Turkish-Iraqi relations according to the Kurdish endeavors to establish an independent Kurdish state in Iraq and its regional geopolitical risks.
