Sustainable chemistry research aims for such benefits as a decrease in the use of energy and fossil materials, the development of clean, safe and secured processes, and the
manufacture of useful, safe and sustainable products, always with a consideration for such factors as cost-effectiveness, eco-efficiency and inherent safety into consideration.
