This history covers the period 1857 to 1946. For much of the 19th century the Regiment was the 19th Bengal Infantry. In 1903 it became the 19th Punjabis and in 1922, it became 1/14 Punjab Regiment. This is a sound and readable narrative history, with plenty of helpful detail of the Regiments campaigns including ther second Afghan War of 1878-80 Col.
