Amanda Prescott has never been away from home before. She is excited yet nervous to be going away to boarding school for the first time. She has learning disabilities that she is often insecure about. She's worried that she'll make a fool of herself in front of the other students. Amanda doesn't realize that she may be entering the biggest trial time of her life-students getting pregnant and taking their own lives, worried about actually failing classes. Amanda struggles in some of her classes but uses the resources around her to overcome obstacles that she finds herself facing along the way. Amanda's Boarding School Journey is a fictional account of a fifteen-year-old leaving the comforts of home for the first time and realizing that going to boarding school is more than just academics, making friends, getting a boyfriend, and playing sports.
