Promises are important commitments. However, in modern culture, they do not mean much, leaving us yearning for faithfulness and truth. In stark contrast, God keeps promises forever. This third book in The Covenant Series tells the history of Israel, her unfaithfulness and unique relationship to God. He promised them a new and different covenant, a new heart and spirt. The scarlet thread in the tapestry of redemption is believers, ordinary people who trusted Him. The author has led Precept Bible Studies for over 30 years, is a retired pharmacist, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. She and her husband live in Arizona. I have led Precept Bible Studies thirty years. While leading studies encompassing the entire Bible, I discovered students rarely understood the connection between the Old and New Covenants, discounting the Old Testament as fables or stories. They could not relate Old Testament saints to their lives, because they did not understand the historical context, or because they believed God only uses perfect people. I wrote the three books of The Covenant Series because I want people to know a covenant-keeping God, and because I want them to understand God uses flawed people to move His scarlet thread of redemption forward.
