The Call of the Wild

Set in Yukon, Canada during the 1890s Gold Rush, when strong sled dogs were in high demand. The main character of the novel is a dog named Buck. The story starts when Buck is stolen from his home and sold as a sled dog in Alaska. He becomes little by little wild in the harsh Alaskan environment. He is forced to fight for his survival and learns to dominate other dogs and becomes their leader. By the end, he cuts with all civilization, and relies only on instinct and experience and surges as a leader in the wild. Includes this special dedication to give as a gift. To --- (insert name) --- The gift of this book. I used to walk around the house and read at the same time (not just because it was my homework). A book can be a companion, a time machine and a friend. Enjoy this book! Welcome to the wonderful world of reading.
