The injustice shine and turn the pears into gold as it decry from it evil deed of man. A chant follow; mother, mother don't pull my hair because father killed me over one little pear. The reader become very afraid but unable to stop reading because of the twist and turn of this psychological thriller. The African Americans experience has been a generation curse. Slavery have made black men, women and children extremely vulnerable to brutal violence. : Slaves were raped,imprisoned, murdered, tortured, lynched tared feathered, and whipped . Slavery also caused severe emotional and psychological trauma, which resulted in self-hatred. They were taught that blacks were inferior to whites Some blacks self hatred created mental health issues. Blacks hated the color of their skin, their physical features, and the texture of their hair.
