This is a gripping story made up of true episodes. It tells us about two women, who had to fight for survival in Italy, during the troubled years of WWII. One is a rich Countess and the other one is a working class woman. For different reasons, they both find themselves working with "La Casa del Fascio", the fascist organization of town life. The noble lady is torn between two men: a Jewish doctor and a dashing musician; the commoner has a son who joins the partisans. With Italy split in two, with two chiefs and two invading Armies, they run under the bombs and fight for their survival.
