CULINARY PLEASURES IN THE PROVENCE is not a cook book. There are no recipes. Nor is it a book about food photography in the traditional sense of the term. The photos are no digital high-quality prints, but taken spontaneously before enjoying the food the author had cooked. This being said, the book is rather autobiographical, and that's why every photo is dated. It is noteworthy that Pierre F. Walter's cuisine is not planned in any way, that there was no daily, weekly or monthly setup, as he was at that time very busy with his music, his videos, his art and his web sites. He cooks a spontaneous kind of cuisine, and most of the dishes take only 5 to 15 minutes of preparation. All the ideas that you see displayed as 'menus' came up spontaneously and were executed on the spot. Any kind of planned and organized cuisine would go against his way of living. All in his life is spontaneous creation! This is the secret of the vibrancy of his photography, and generally, the secret of happiness, of eternal youth, and of childlike adventure.
