He was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2004. He was Runner-Up for the Neil Postman Award for Metaphor from Rattle in 2008. And his chapbook, GRADUATING FROM ETERNITY, was First Runner-Up for the Ronald Wardall Award from Rain Mountain Press in 2009. He lives in Chicago, and bartends somewhere along the dark shores of the moon.
