Henry Parnell
The politician Sir Henry Parnell (1776–1842) was instrumental in the improvement of the important road linking London with Holyhead, a major port for communication with Dublin. In 1833 Parnell published this thorough explanation of road construction and maintenance. It is reissued here in the 1838 second edition.
