Published in 1858, this ambitious but incomplete history of the Abbey of St Augustine, Canterbury, was compiled by Thomas of Elmham (1364–1427?) around 1414. It is notable for his scholarly use of primary sources (many of which were in fact corrupt, or outright forgeries) to support the Abbey's privileges.
