Dr. James Collins, a retired professor of anthropology is one chapter away from completing an anthology of local folktales and legends. Before setting pen to paper, Professor Collins visits the setting of this last legend, the old Twin Maples plantation. He goes missing after texting a sinister picture to his daughter Lenore, of a freshly dug grave After several failed attempts to locate her father, Lenore Collins enlists the help of her oldest friend, Shane Travers, recently promoted to detective with Hylton Police Department, to find her father. Shane's search for the missing profession turns into a double murder investigation, -the missing professor and the unidentified body in the mysterious grave. As Shane searches for the persons responsible for the death of his friend's father and Lenore works to complete her father's book, the two old friends fall into a whirlpool of conflicting emotions for each other. Jealously and distrust threaten to destroy not only their friendship, but their growing love for each other.
