Whispers of the Lake: A Volume of Poems Donald Aka Azure Dirnberger

Whispers of the Lake is the tenth in the series called A Volume of Poems. They were written while I was sitting watching the winds move across the surface of the lake. It was inspired by a Native American booklet of poems from the Red Cloud Indian School. The school is on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in a remote part of South Dakota. It was established in 1888. The booklet is entitled Whispers of the Lakota. I encourage all peoples to read their wonderful poems as they reached deep into my own soul.
